Greek Hot Dog
So packed with fresh Greek flavors, you’d think you were in the Isles! This Greek Hot Dog will make you want to say Ooopah!

Dish Count – 1 Grill, 1 Cutting Board
There is a little Greek joint around the corner from our apartment, and with Beka (my best friend) moving in to our complex here in a couple of weeks to be my new neighbor, I can’t wait to have a reason to go back to this little Greek joint to order one of everything. The two guys running it, I think, have started to recognize Ben and I and probably hope we will order something other than our new “usual” – me, the Shwarma platter with beef and lamb, and Ben with Gyro platter.

And the best part, is these guys always find something else to toss into our order for us to try. Whether it’s the greek fries (which I am determined to make for you guys sometime), the lentil soup which blows us away, and grapes leaves that you want to dunk in tsatziki ’til the cows come home!.
It’s been about three weeks, THREE WEEKS ahhh, since we’ve been to our Greek Pita place, but these Greek Hot Dogs totally hit the spot and will get me through until Ben and I get our fix again. Which won’t be long.
Ingredients for Greek Hot Dog
- Hot Dog Buns
- All Beef Hot Dogs
- Feta Cheese
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Cucumber
- Kalamata Olives
- Table for Two’s Tzatziki Sauce
- Lemon

One must have for these dogs is Tzatziki sauce – which no spell check likes, btw – and instead of scouring my grocery store, I made Julie from Table for Two’s Tzatziki Sauce and it was incredible! No joke, I started eating it with a spoon. There is no shame in this game, it’s that good. So make sure you grab her recipe and use it on these dogs! It’s a must do.

My version of a Greek HD. (An ex wife &) I’ve done this since 2005. I’ll saute onions, diced tomato and chopped pepperoncini pepper. Boil, grill or fry the dog. There’s no wrong way. Lol. Slap some Tzatziki sauce on a grilled or steamed bun with everything else. Top it off with some feta cheese crumbles.. And enjoy. But make sure you make enough for more than one dog. Cause your gonna want it. The peppers bring just the right flavor and spice up the onions and tomatoes. I’ve thought about adding Greek olives to the saute mix and or as a topping like the feta. But have not tried either way yet. If anyone tries this. Feel free to email or leave a message for me. Would love to hear what others think about it.
Soooo love the tzatziki addition!! I’m such a sucker for that!
Hello,
Most people in lieu of adopting a pet will not adopt a starving child, or divert every disposable dollar to children’s charities. But, it makes a huge difference to the life of that one adopted animal to come to a loving home.health issues
