Breakfast Hot Dog
Okay, trust me on this one. This breakfast hot dog is the prime way to start your day, especially after a night you had a little too much fun. So make this July 5th for your recovery breakfast!
It’s a very hard pill to swallow, the moment you realize your husband isn’t perfect. Yesterday was that day for me. Why you ask? Read on dear friend. And join me in my heartache.
It’s all because Ben has emphatically stated and deemed bacon an unnecessary meat. UNNECESSARY? BACON?!
Who have I married?! What kind of lie have I bee living in for the last 6 years?
Today I live my truth, that I will not rest until he has come to love bacon.
Since we didn’t have anything else planned for dinner, and I was running out of light to shoot these beautiful BACON FILLED creations with last night, Ben helped and I charged him with cooking the bacon, to which it was revealed he had never cooked bacon before in his life.
It was unnecessary he said. Bacon is unnecessary. *Cue knife murder old timey movie music*
WUT?
So then I got mad and MADE him figure out how to cook the bacon. After asking if it was “done” and me peering into the pan to inspect it, I told him to figure it out himself. Everyone needs to know bacon and how to cook it so that it’s mystical properties shine through.
As you can see before you, these breakfast dogs came together splendidly and the bacon on top is perfect. So all is not lost in our marriage, and hopefully one day, may not today, maybe not tomorrow – but one day we will recover from this tragedy.
Until then, eat more hotdogs!

NO WORDS. This is just awesome.
Girl, this looks incredible. Now I need a hot dog.
That’s one of the qualifications for my future hubs – must love bacon! I just don’t think it would work any other way. Props to you for your patience with his unfortunate situation!
Seriously, you’ve up and done it! Freaking brilliant!!!
I seriously need to stop reading your breakfast recipe posts this early in the day on an empty stomach… My mouth is watering!!
I’m about to call your hubby to have a little chit chat with you on the necessities of bacon. Absolutely brilliant on this breakfast dawg.
So creative! I love the hashbrowns thrown in there. Definitely have to try making some sort of veg breakfast like this!
This looks crazy good! What a creation 🙂
Tell Ben that he & I are fighting.
Unnecessary!?!?!?!
Ben is dead to me. Jk! 🙂
OMG! Ben has been talking to my husband!! Swear, my husband said the same thing two days ago. I am also heartbroken. Um, now you can send me two of these amazing, super creative dogs… please!
Totally craving this right now!
Bacon unnecessary. Silly boy.
These look phenomenal!
We eat breakfast for dinner at our house more often than we eat breakfast for breakfast! I’m so diggin’ this dog!
I would seriously question the morals of someone that doesn’t like bacon. How can you not?! Althoughhh before my husband and I got married he didn’t think he liked bacon, but after many years and many force fed bacon strips, he’s a convert. He’ll even pass up sausage just to get his hands on some crispy bacon! Happy wife. Love these dogs!
Breakfast hot dog?! Seriously, I don’t like hot dogs too much, but it is all I have been craving during this pregnancy. Everything is better with a fried egg and bacon. mmmm
In case your hubby reads this:
BENJAMIN WINIFRED!! YOU are unnecessary! Bacon is vital to the survival and happiness of our species.
