Mexican Mole Hot Dog

These Mexican Molé Hot Dogs will make you want to down a margarita this summer!! Loaded with all beef hot dogs, avocado, fresh tomato, cotija and molé sauce you will be dancing the macarena!
I’m a huge fan of finding new ways to top hot dogs. Like hamburgers, you can top them with any number of flavor combinations and they will be utterly epic. I love making new combinations for my hot dog, and being from the Pacific Northwest we love our Seattle Hot Dog. If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to. But when you’re in the mood for something south of the border, then this Mexican Mole Hot Dog is where it is at with an all beef hot dog, avocado, tomato, cotija cheese, and mole sauce on top. Embrace it, and then add a margarita to the side. Obviously!

I’ve recently become obsessed with molé, because our favorite local Mexican restaurant does such a good job at it! If you want to order your own mole sauce try 365 by Whole Foods Simmer Sauce (aff-link)
They also do a good job at making Cadillac margaritas magically appear before me. But that’s another story.

Any time you can make chocolate into something savory, it’s a win and I’ve been wanting to add it to everything! I picked up three jars of different molés and have been devising ways to slip it on everything. Hot dogs seemed like the next plausible choice, and boy was I glad they worked out this well!
On a hot summer day, a slathered molé dog and cold beer do wonders for the soul. And frazzled nerves.
