Sweet Chicken Teriyaki Lettuce Wraps
Dynamic recipes don’t have to be complicated, and cooking them doesn’t mean being tied to your stove all day long. Campbell’s Sweet Teriyaki Chicken Oven Sauce packs a punch of flavor in a tiny package.
Dish Count :: 1 13×9 Baking Dish

Dinners together with Ben have become an effort in coordination and timing. By the time I get home around 5 or 6, it’s time to take the dog out, get the house organized, pretend like I’m going to go the gym, and then take care of all the blog stuff needed before the next day. And let’s not forget that I have to wake the sleeping bear from his slumber before he goes on shift.
Those few hours that we are together every evening are important to us. We get to catch up, share stories of our day, and tag team scratching the dog, whose allergies are out of control. The last thing I want to do with those precious few hours is spend them in the kitchen.

Campbell’s Oven Sauce in Sweet Teriyaki Chicken was perfect with the chicken breasts Ben thawed a couple days ago, and coupled with butter lettuce, it was a full bite of comfort in just a couple of simple steps.
With Ben and I on different schedules, he can thaw a couple of pieces of chicken in the morning and they will be ready for me to finish at night when I get home. One step is all that was needed for this dish, and even my husband who doesn’t like cooking could get this done with minimal fuss.

Finishing the dish didn’t take long either. Simply follow the directions on the package for a delicious meal. You can serve this chicken right out of the pan, or do like I did and take two forks and shred the chicken into small pieces, wrapping a heaping fork full into a leaf of butter lettuce. Simplicity is best when it comes to weeknights, people. Time is of the essence and spending time together is key. Bring it all together and enjoy every minute around the table. Together.
