Sahale Snacks and The Capitol Hill Block Party
Let’s make no bones about it, I’m a hard core grazer and snacker. There is always a can of flavored fizzy water in my purse, and a snack to go along with it. When Ben and I were doing the long distance thing – years ago now, thank goodness – I tried to snack healthy on the days where I was driving four to five hours to see him. But let’s be real, the monotony of it all can be a little too much.
I started my enduring love of Sahale Snacks back then when those drives were endless, needing something a little more gourmet than the run of the mill, bland, and boring trail mixes. Sahale totally upped the game of every snack out there and I was hooked.
As it turns out, we’ve been keeping our eyes on each other lately – and I’m so excited to tell you guys that I am teaming up with Sahale Snacks! I love this Seattle born and bred company, whose values mirror my own, in their process, stewardship, and quality.
Yesterday after work, I headed downtown Seattle, where Sahale is one of the sponsors of this year’s 20th annual Capitol Hill Block Party. If you know anything about Seattle, it’s that Capitol Hill is one of the funnest places to be. It’s lively, carefree, and has an amazing nightlife and music scene. The Block Party is one of the highlights of the Seattle summer season, and experiencing it on it’s 20th anniversary was amazing! I mean, I might be 30th, and “too old for this ish”, but secretly, my inner 21 year old had the BEST TIME! Did you see if on Snapchat? Be sure to follow me to see all the details.
First stop while we were there was Sahale’s booth for their Flavor Experience, where my friend Taryn and I took quizzes to find out what our perfect flavor profile was and get a blend just for us! Mine was the Pomegranate Vanilla Cashews. And Taryn’s was the Raspberry Crumble Cashew mix. They were also sure to send us away with a couple more varieties, just for good measure.
So, if you’re looking for some fun things to do in the city, hit up Sahale Snacks Flavor Experience booth and take the quiz. You might be surprised at what your flavor profile tells you! And listen to some killer music while you’re at it.
*This post, and my attendance to the Capitol Hill Block Party was sponsored by Sahale Snacks. All opinions are my own!*Â
I like to think I’m not a snacker, but I totally am. Usually it’s not traditional snack foods, though. I usually go for something weird like tuna on crackers or something like that. But whenever we go on long road trips, Eric always makes sure to pack something for us to nibble on. Otherwise there will be hangriness. And that’s never a good thing. 😛
I’ve never tried Sahale snacks and I’m always looking for healthy snacks! Going to look for these to try!
I see their snacks all the time here in Portland. Tasty stuff!
First of all I heart snacks. Secondly, i want these in my mouth. xoxo
What a fun event and you can’t beat healthy snacks! Â I’ll definitely be watching out for the Capitol Hill block party next year.
I love that you’re a hard core snacker. I’ve taken to snacking lately. My doctor says “grazing” is better for Crohn’s than eating big meals. So I’ve been trying to “graze” properly. It seems to really help on the days I do it. I’m going to have to scope out these snacks. They look utterly delicious. Pistachios are my favourite thing to snack on, but I love cashews, pecans, and almonds too.
I wish I lived in Seattle. I visited years ago for a conference and had the best time I’ve ever had a conference. Pike Place was amazing, and we hit up lots of shops and restaurants. It’s a really cool city. I could be happy living there, for sure.
I love to snack, always needing a couple pick-me-ups during the day. These look wonderful!!
