New and Improved!
This fall has been a bit, chaotic(?), to say the least. Between Ben’s and my travels to the London, Scotland and Iceland, which I still have yet to tell you about(!), and writing a cookbook (!!), I decided why not cap off this fall with one more big thing – giving the site a facelift (!!!).
And it is finally here. There are so many new and improved tidbits to see, improved functionality, new categories, and featured recipes so you can see my latest and greatest stuff right at the top.
Come take a gander with me as I give you the guided tour!
Okay, I’ll stop with the gratuitous exclamation points… but I’m just so excited. *And I just can’t hide it.* Don’t lie. You sang that, too.
Here is the main page! Beautiful and so fresh and so clean, clean. Let’s start from the top, shall we?
First, we are changing things up with a new logo extolling my love of all things cast iron. Shocker. And a new theme. Everything I make is to bring country comfort home with real food, real ingredients. The best feeling is sharing food with those you love, and I hope to continue on that mission with you by my side.
Then there is the new Browse Recipes tabs for quick references to my favorite categories! Click up top and see what’s cooking! You can also find the new Search Button in the top right corner. We wanted to make that a little more available and put it front and center for easy use. I hope it helps!
Now, you will see my top three featured recipes! These will change from time to time with the seasons, holidays, and whatever else is just making my skirt fly up that day. Right now, it’s holiday heavy so keep an eye out for the next few days! And we added gingham. I just love me some gingham.
And then lastly, as you scroll through to the bottom, you’ll see more categories and themed favorites. These will rotate occasionally, too. I promise in January I will get rid of all the tempting stuff and just make it healthy-centric. I mean, I will be doing Whole30 again, too. And I don’t want to be tempted with Christmas cookies either! Mmm, cookies.
So there you have it, a quick walk about on the new site. I hope you all love it as much as I do. But as with anything new and shiny there may be a hiccup or two. Let me know if you find something and we will get it fixed in short order.
In the meantime, cook away!
