Nutella Guinness Stout Chocolate Milkshakes
Pump up the chocolate with these Nutella Guinness Stout Chocolate Milkshakes! Because why not?!
Dish Count :: 1 Blender, 2 cups

I couldn’t think of a legitimate reason to wait on posting these. Usually it works out that I make things, put them in a folder, wait a while, forget about them, think I should post them, get around to it a few weeks later when I’m scrambling for something to post for you guys, and then go ‘oh yeah, THOSE!’, and then you see it here. This nutella Guinness stout chocolate milkshakes will not be those. I made these yesterday. You probably saw them on Instagram?
Or you probably saw me pouring the Guinness all over my kitchen on Snapchat… And then me cleaning up the entire Guinness that poured all over the front of my kitchen cabinets afterwards. Snapping and pouring is a dangerous activity people.

Somehow the volume of spilled Guinness multiplies as soon as it pools all over your counters and runs down the front of your cabinets and on to the kitchen floor.
The same can also be said for any number of other things. Like filling a cup with milkshake a little too full and not accounting for the weight of the whipped cream on top.
That’s how we arrived at the spilly photos above. My OCD mother is probably ripping her hair out, or searching every where for a sponge to clean her computer screen hoping that it will somehow magically clean up this spill you see before you.

Don’t worry, Ma – I slurped it up with the straws!
I got a little zenned out watching the milkshakes pour into the cups that I forgot that at some point you reach the top of the cup and figured I should probably stop near the top.

How many years did I watch Bill Nye the Science Guy? I know all about displacement and even whipped cream has weight to it! But noooooo, somehow on 4/3/2016 I thought that particular scientific theory didn’t apply to me.Â

Much like how I think that a 90 pound labrador will stay on his side of the bed and only take up your husband’s pillow all night long. As Huck has gotten a little older, he’s also become a little more demanding. And a little more sprawly at night. Ben has been noticing it too. Huck is a little more forceful with his begging, staring at you a little longer, with a little more determination. Laying on the bed a little longer before moving – as if his old age allows him that particular privilege, and since I already sleep on the edge of the bed, because I need to know where the edges are and I kick one foot out from under the covers like some body temperature regulator, the dog has taken to star fishing out like he owns the joint. This furry cup spilleth over. I can’t entirely say I’m mad about it. We let this happen. And well, I guess he’s finally cuddling now.

I did wait 8 years for that to happen. So I’ll take what I can get. If you call shoving me out of my own bed “cuddling”.

I know this is a picture heavy post – but can we agree that there is no such thing as too many photos of something that looks this dang good? It doesn’t happen often that you can pick a favorite, and this one just happened to be a gosh darn favorite. So bear with me. And don’t worry, I cleaned up the mess. I cleaned it up realllllyyyy good.Â
