Memorial Week is coming up! And this year I’m planning ahead. You should, too!

Ben’s birthday falls right at Memorial Weekend every year, and every year with a husband in nursing school, or balancing work, we find ourselves in last minute panics over what we are going to do, where we are driving to for the day. Usually we just end up loading up Huck, packing up a cooler, flipping a coin and picking a direction to drive until we wind up wherever it is we are going. It’s just how we seem to do things. So maybe planning big weekends isn’t out thing, but it’s sure a tradition we have come to love. And if Ben loves spending his birthday picnicking with me on the side of the road in some far flung place – it’s the best day for me, too.
