Description

Premade smoothie packs make mornings even easier, and these Morning Glory Smoothies are filled with goodness to start your day right.

Ingredients

Units Scale

For Frozen Smoothie Packs

  • 4 Sandwich Size Ziploc Bags
  • 2 Large Bananas, Sliced and Frozen – 1/2 frozen banana for each bag
  • 2 cups Sliced Carrots – 1/2 cup for each Ziploc
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Coconut, sweetened or unsweetened (your choice) – 2-3 Tbsp for each bag
  • 3/4 cup Chopped Pecans – 3 Tbsp for each bag
  • 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats – 2-3 Tbsp for each bag
  • 45 Dates, chopped – Approximately 1 chopped date for each bag
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp for each bag
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg – Dash of ground nutmeg for each bag
  • 2 Tbsp Ground Flaxseed – 1/2 Tbsp for each bag

For Smoothies

  • 1 Smoothie Pack
  • 1 Scoop Protein Powder of Choice
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  • Milk of Choice – I use Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk

Instructions

  1. Divide all ingredients evenly between Ziploc bags.  Approximations of how much for each are listed next to the ingredients.
  2. Seal bags and remove as much air as possible. Freeze bags so they are ready to grab when you need a smoothie.
  3. To make smoothies, add ingredients from one smoothie pack into your blender. Add in desired milk, filling the blender until the 16 ounce mark. Add in coconut oil and protein powder if desired.
  4. Blend until smooth. Pour and enjoy.
