Bananas Foster Frosting and Vanilla Rum Cupcakes

Description

Bananas Foster Frosting is a favorite flavor combo with banana and rum!  This can be made with rum extract instead of the booze version, and either way it’s good.


Ingredients

Cupcakes

  • 1 box Pillsbury Vanilla Cupcakes Mix
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Rum Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Frosting

  • 1 cup Banana, mashed
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 45 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp Rum Extract
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cupcakes according to box directions.
  2. For Frosting, beat together banana and butter until smooth.
  3. Add in rum extract, cinnamon and salt until combined.
  4. With the mixer on low, mix in powdered sugar until combined. If frosting is too thin, add more sugar. If frosting is too thick, add milk 1 tsp at a time until desired consistency is reached.
